On March 11, 2025, the State Office for Geology and Mining Saxony-Anhalt (LAGB) and the Institute for Applied Geophysics Hanover (LIAG) jointly organized the geothermal workshop “WärmeGut: Daten und Potenziale zur Bewertung von Standorten für die Nutzung oberflächennaher Geothermie in Sachsen-Anhalt” (“WärmeGut: Data and potentials for the evaluation of sites for the use of shallow geothermal energy in Saxony-Anhalt”).
At this event, Christoph presented the approaches of our working group in the field of shallow geothermal energy to the 50 participants, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and data exchange with the LAGB. In particular, the results of thermal conductivity measurements on LAGB drill cores were presented.
Thanks to the LAGB for this ongoing excellent collaboration and the opportunity to present our results to a broader audience.
