Über mich

Meine Forschung ist den thermischen Bedingungen des oberflächennahen Untergrundes gewidmet. Ich widme mich der Beantwortung von Fragen wie: Stellt der Klimawandel eine Bedrohung für unsere Grundwasserressourcen dar? Wie akkumulieren sich lokale anthropogene Wärmeemissionen zu großräumigen urbanen Wärmeinseln im Untergrund? Und können wir diese Abwärme wiederverwerten, um die Belastung natürlicher Ökosysteme zu verringern und die Kohlenstoffemissionen zu reduzieren? Durch die Verbindung von numerischen Modellen, Feldmessungen und Fernerkundung versuche ich, Antworten aus dem verborgenen und oft übersehenen Ökosystem unter unseren Füßen ans Licht zu bringen.
