Life cycle assessment is crucial for developing sustainable technologies, especially in the context of the climate crisis and the urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. My research focuses on analyzing the environmental impacts of seasonal thermal energy storage systems. Specifically, I investigate the ecological footprint of these technologies and their role in integrating renewable energy sources into existing energy systems. By concentrating on the environmental aspects of life cycle analysis, I aim to develop methods that support a robust assessment of the sustainability of seasonal heat storage systems. My objective is to identify practical approaches to optimize these technologies and, in doing so, contribute to advancing a sustainable energy future.
