As an ecologist with a holistic approach to the behavior of natural systems, I am interested in studying the interaction between soil and (ground) water and the extent to which they interact physicochemically under changing land use.
Being part of the Applied Geology research group gives me the opportunity to put the theoretical topics I learned during my studies into practice and apply them in the lab and in the field. As a technician in our working group, I am jointly responsible for hydrogeological sampling and the investigation of the hydrogeochemical characteristics of the collected samples. My main task is to apply laboratory methods and run analytical instruments for data acquisition of (in)organic substances in the environmental compartments to characterize the chemical processes involved.
